V Magazine/VMAN is looking for Editorial Internship
V Magazine seeks an editorial intern who is a strong writer, a fashion obsessive and an enthusiastic team player. This person will assist the V team in various aspects of our print and web production, from transcribing interviews to pitching, reporting and writing up stories. Be well versed in fashion, as well as SEO and social media best practices.
Excellent writing skills and ability to turn around copy in a timely manner
Adaptability on a small, collaborative editorial team
Fluency with Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest
Familiarity with Photoshop, InCopy and WordPress a plus
Ability to cover fashion with a blend of intelligence and irreverence a plus
Conduct research and transcribe interviews for in-depth print features focusing on fashion and culture
Pitch and write front-of-book stories for V Magazine and VMAN print magazines
Create short-form content for website regularly
Assist web and social media team as needed
Be relatively familiar with V Magazine's near 20-year archive
Carry out administrative duties as needed (mailing issues, answering phones, etc.)
This internship is unpaid.
