Uncover Los Angeles, LLC is looking for LA-Based Fashion/Retail Editorial Intern
UncoverLA.com is a Los Angeles-based retail and fashion news publication dedicated to covering the City of Angels' coolest people, places, and things. From the best sample sales and rising designers to the latest stores, salons, and fitness studios, we highlight L.A. from a stylish POV.
Must be available at least 2-3 full days per week, preferably Monday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday/Friday. The candidate must be located in Los Angeles and enrolled in college, and preferably majoring in journalism or another writing-related field. End date will be May/June, depending on your schedule. If available, please include links to writing clips.
- Write online retail or fashion news posts as assigned
- Familiarity with WordPress is a plus (but not required)
- Assist with editorial projects, including sourcing assets and fact-checking
- Uploading content (copy and images) to WordPress
- Assist social media manager in community management
- Reach out to potential interview subjects
- Stay up-to-date on industry/local news and trending fashion and lifestyle topics on social media
- Opportunity to attend/cover local events
- Opportunity to pitch and write longer features
- Opportunity to be mentored by an experienced fashion editor and build your network
