Ranjana Khan is looking for Fashion Intern
Ranjana Khan is a contemporary jewelry and accessories brand based in New York seeking immediate full-time and part-time interns to join our team for the Spring 2018 semester . Our interns get a hands on experience with day to day operations including production, design, sales and PR. Including, but not limited to, tracking and organizing samples being sent/received to stores, factories, and stylists. Assisting with the creation of line sheets/look books and other materials utilized for sales meeting with buyers as well as assisting with the meetings themselves.
We are looking for interns who are genuinely excited to learn and work in a real studio environment. Through this internship, you will acquire experience and knowledge about the fashion industry. This internship is a wonderful opportunity to observe the entirety of a luxury fashion brand. This is not a paid position, but are happy to offer college credit towards course completion.
Qualifications and Skills
Ideal Candidate:
Current fashion design student or graduate
Fundamental design and/or merchandising skills
Computer proficiency (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Team player who can also work independently
Organized with high attention to detail
Positive attitude
Reliable and punctual
Able to take direction
Communication and phone skills
Responsibilities and Duties
Tasks Include:
Assisting Design and Production teams with quality control, and sourcing fabrics, trims and findings
Assisting with tracking and organizing samples being sent/received to stores, factories, and stylists
Assisting Sales team with the creation of linesheets/lookbooks, assisting with sales meetings, and coordinating preparations for trunk shows, NY market, and Paris market
Working photo shoots and company events
This internship is unpaid.
