Description:Pamella Roland is a New York-based luxury fashion house known for sophisticated eveningwear, cocktail attire, and red-carpet designs. Headquartered in New York City, Pamella Roland collections are worn by women around the world and regularly appear at major events and on the red carpet.
Pamella Roland is seeking a paid Design Intern to support the Design team in the development of seasonal collections. This hands-on opportunity provides exposure to the full eveningwear design lifecycle, from concept through final execution. Interns assist with embroidery layouts, hand sewing, local sourcing, trend research, and the preparation of materials for fittings, photoshoots, and special projects.
Working within a creative and collaborative studio environment, interns gain meaningful experience and a behind-the-scenes look at the day-to-day operations of a luxury fashion house. No two days are the same, making this an exciting opportunity for someone eager to learn, contribute, and gain firsthand experience in the fashion industry.
Requirements:* Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design or a related field
* Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
* Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Knowledge of fabrics, trims, embroidery layouts, and hand-sewing techniques preferred
* Interest in luxury fashion, eveningwear, and collection development
* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
* Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative
* Detail-oriented with a strong sense of organization
* Available to work 3 days per week (Wednesday - Friday preferred)
* Ability to commute to and work from our New York City studio; this is an in-person position
* Portfolio or examples of creative work are strongly encouraged
Responsibilities:* Assist the Design team with daily administrative and creative tasks
* Support seasonal collection development and design research
* Organize fabric, trim, and color libraries
* Create and update inspiration boards, design boards, and presentation materials
* Assist with embroidery layouts and design revisions as needed
* Prepare materials for fittings and meetings
* Assist with local sourcing of fabrics, trims, and other materials
* Support runway, photoshoots, and special projects as assigned
* Help maintain organization within the design studio
* Conduct market and trend research
