Description:Design Interns will be responsible for working projects such as developing mood/concept and color boards, preparing line sheets for sales, setting-up lab-dip pages and pitch print sheets, print development and colorations, working with CADs on Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, setting up technical packages, attending fittings/design meetings/print appointments.
The internship program is designed to enhance students existing experience and training in Fashion, allow students to work closely with industry professionals and to gain new skills in a hands-on environment. Design students may need to present a portfolio or a few sketches as part of our interview process.
Requirements:• Minimum of one prior Internship with a Fashion Brand in the industry in RTW and/or sleepwear/loungewear
• MUST be enrolled in Fashion Design College level program
• Knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop Program; NedGraphics is a plus
• Basic computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent hand/digital sketching and illustration ability
• Ability to communicate clearly using fabric/merchandising/garment construction terminology and skills both written and verbal
• Great eye for color; understands possibilities of fabric and construction; looks for new and innovative ways to use color, fabric, and details in design
• Organized and detailed orientated
