This internship is unpaid.
The internship will provide the opportunity to gain an overall understanding of the fashion, home, food, beauty, wine, travel, and art industries, build portfolios, and learn about the inner workings of an editorial publication.
Mood of Living is a digital lifestyle magazine based in New York City that features stories of creative visionaries, philanthropists, travel destinations, and tastefully designed, well-made products. The magazine inspires our interactive and global community to appreciate quality over quantity, to take pleasure in our senses, pursue our passions and to lead a meaningful life.
Requirements:Looking for interns preferably interested in an internship for school credit. Interns will be required to attend the internship at least two days per week with a minimum commitment of three months.
● Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
● Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suit is a plus
● Experience in photography and web/interactive design and software is not required by is an asset
Responsibilities:We are looking for interns with the following interests:
● Fashion
● Beauty
● Home décor
● Graphic design
● Journalism
● Social media and marketing
● Food
● Art
● Photography
● Social media and marketing
● Business
Job responsibilities include:
● Researching, contributing ideas, and posting compelling online content
● Copy editing, fact checking, proofreading
● Creating online presence and maintaining social media outlets including
Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter
● Updating databases of industry contacts
● Attending industry events
● Conducting interviews and writing feature articles
● Creating trend and mood boards
● Updating content on WordPress
● Selecting music for our monthly playlists
● Contributing to the development of business strategy and marketing events
