THE MODEST SOURCE is the curated destination of trailblazing editorials, styling tips, and trend & shopping guides that empower you to stay true to your values and while reimaging who the modern modest woman is.
The Junior Web Designer will play a key role in supporting the brand from its conception. You will assist in creating a compelling visual experience that addresses the company’s vision and unique perspective.
- Experience: min. of 1 year of professional and/or web design related the experience in the fashion industry or creative field.
- Education: Degree/Certification in Web Design or proven work experience equivalent
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator).
- Some knowledge of HTML/CSS.
- Understanding of web browser capabilities and interaction design
- Strong knowledge of website usability, web optimization, user experience and responsive design systems.
- Demonstrate an understanding of design layout and composition.
- Possess an interest in fashion, photography and editorial design
- Remain current in the digital design industry to be able to identify new techniques and trends.
- Able to understand, identify and clearly communicate technical challenges and design limitations.
- Web design and production for platform's assets including execution of web design concept, developing an innovative site where banners, emails, product pages and other assets will be needed as time goes on.
- Aid in the creation of conceptual designs for launch website.
- Translate business goals into clear digital communications, while maintaining a high design standard and respecting the brand integrity.
- Collaborate with the team to execute content strategy and create digital assets that adhere focus of the company.
Communicate clearly with Senior Web Designer and project managers during various stages of design and project development.
- Research and keep abreast of latest interactive technology, developments and trends in the digital marketing as well as evaluate suitability for wholesale channels.
