This internship is unpaid.
Merlette is seeking a talented, dedicated intern to assist the team for Fall 2026 semester. The internship is available for credit with a daily lunch stipend.
Requirements:Current Fashion Design or Technical Design student.
Available in person for 2-4 days per week (Monday-Friday).
Happy to work in a small team and willing to learn about all aspects of running a fashion brand.
Great Attention to Detail.
Focused and diligent.
Candidate must have a good knowledge of Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, MS Excel, and Google Sheets.
Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
Excellent understanding of techpacks.
Detailed sketching ability on Procreate.
Ideally located close to Manhattan.
Must submit a design portfolio.

Organizing inspiration, fabric swatches, and embroidery mocks.
Assist during fittings, steaming, measuring, and updating techpacks.
Help update sketches via Procreate.
