British born Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig have built a fashion empire defined by elegant eveningwear and one of a kind couture designs. The duo met at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. Georgina’s draping and design expertise paired with Keren’s textile creations resulted in a business partnership and the establishment of Marchesa in 2004. Based in New York, the Marchesa collections are presently available worldwide. Now with the launch of their jewelry and shoe lines, there is a new and enticing way to experience the luxury of Marchesa.
• Enrolled in an Associate’s/ Bachelor’s/ Master’s program at an accredited college or university
• Strong leadership, creative thinking, and problem solving skills
• A positive, outgoing, high energy personality that is entrepreneurial
• A multi-tasker, proactively seeks out opportunities to support the team with a can-do and follow-through attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to adapt to multiple styles of management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Highly organized and detail oriented, should feel comfortable working in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Unpaid, college credit and 2-3 days are required
Executive interns directly support the Co-Founders (Creative Directors), the CEO and their executive assistant team. Duties include, but are not limited to the list below:
• Research and prepare materials reflecting industry insights and the competitive environment
• Assist with the planning and execution of events including runway shows and presentations
• Work with cross-functional teams on various tasks and special projects
• Merchandise showroom and prep offices for various meetings
• Update and manage various records, reports and contact lists
• Assist with model castings and photoshoot production
• View creative process and assist during fittings with Creative Directors
