Description:Looking for atelier interns who are creative problem solvers and critical thinkers with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Interns should respond positively to a team environment where they will be asked to complete many tasks to help the atelier function including organizational and administrative tasks. They will copy patterns, as well as hand sew on couture gowns with delicate, high fashion execution, among other tasks. Interns will learn about construction techniques used in the atelier to create complex couture gowns. They will see the process of creating collections that involves designers, patternmakers, sewers, PR, sales, and marketing. Interns are expected to behave in a professional manner and treat the internship as a professional commitment. They should be responsible, reliable, thoughtful, and have a positive attitude
Requirements:Must be receiving school credit! Minimum 3 days (no exceptions)
Responsibilities:Responsibilities include:
1. Keeping Studio Organized
2. Helping with hand sewing garments
3. Errands in the garment district
4. Assist the patternmaking department.
5. Setting up with Fittings
This internship is unpaid.
