Description:Intern will assist in all areas of jewelry production and further develop their metalsmithing skills, while learning all facets of running a jewelry line from design and development to marketing and branding. Intern will be working directly with the designers with one on one training and experience. Internship is unpaid, lunch will be provided on days worked.
Requirements:Candidates must have at least beginners knowledge of jewelry making and know their way around a metals studio. Basic silver soldering and finishing skills are required. You must take personal initiative and be confident in your working environment, and of course be eager to learn more within these areas!
Internship requires a minimum of 2 days per week from 11-6pm, for at least 3 months, this insures the intern learns the full scope of the business while fine tuning their skills.
Responsibilities:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Occasional assistance in sample trafficking between vendors and suppliers.
-Jewelry production prep, including sawing, filing, and cutting
-Light silver soldering and assembly
-Sanding, polishing and finishing
