Description:Founded by fashion designer Eli Caner, Lady and Butler is a fashion forward, style-driven uniform company. We design and produce chic uniforms constructed to provide comfort and flexibility to employees, while representing the client's brand and complementing the interior design of the workplace. In addition to our stock uniform collection, we offer bespoke uniforms at various levels of customization, from designing fully custom uniform collections to modifying existing Lady & Butler uniform styles. Lady and Butler also offers various complementary services, including styling consultations, preparation of uniform handbooks for employees, design of capsule collections for hotel retail spaces and photo/video production.
Requirements:We are in the search for an outgoing, hard working, committed and enthusiastic candidate to assist our Product Development Team. We are looking for fashion design or fashion merchandising students with knowledge in technical design, fashion design, garment construction, textiles and trims, pattern-making or area related to product development. Our ideal candidate is a multitask and independent student willing to be hand on in many different stages of our sample making, from sketching to hand see finishings. As part of a small team, the candidate will be very much involve in many areas, experience that will provide him or her a valuable inside into the fashion industry, th embay levels involves and many expert ices required. The candidate must have strong verbal and writing skills. Also, knowledge of design software such as Illustrator and Photoshop and Excel is very important. His or her availability should be at least 3 full time day or 4 part time day per week.
Required - Product Development, Fashion Design, Technical Design, Pattern Making
Preferred - Excel, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
Responsibilities:- Keep the office, patterns, fabric and samples organized through filing system and charts.
- Participate in fittings; Arrange fittings, take fit notes and gather all materials needed for them.
- Hand sew labels, tags or any other trim necessary to complete samples.
- Fabric and trim research: liase with local vendors or overseas mills representative and source locally in the Fashion District.
-Work with local factories in developing & producing garments.
