Searching for a part time design intern to assist in daily operations for a growing luxury womenswear company. This internship is unpaid, school credit available and lunch and metrocard stipend. The design studio is located in Soho.
Requirements:Necessary Qualifications: Excellent design and aesthetic sensibility, Design major or related concentration, Knowledge of fabrics and garment construction, Excellent organizational and time management skills, Excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:Responsibilities include: Work with design team on various hands-on tasks to prepare for upcoming collection and special projects, Prepare press pulls and work with PR representatives, Complete errands to stylists, Source trims and fabrics in the NYC garment district, Work with in house sample makers, Collection coordination for sales, Hand sewing hems and some trims.
