Jed Group is a startup luxury knitwear and shirting company based in New York's flower district. We are a small team working all on aspects of the development, production, and selling of luxury apparel. Jed is a collection leveraging our lifelong obsession for the finest of intarsia with a visceral need for a bit of whit. We use both machine and handknit techniques, loving them equally. Jed knitwear is rich, emotional, tactile, and impossible to live without.
Requirements:We are a small startup looking for a creative individual to help with the following :
• Must have a background in apparel design, knitwear experience is a plus
• Must be fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, & Excel
• Must have previous internship experience in fashion design
• Comprehensive knowledge of current fashion brands and online trends
• Updating sketches, participate in fittings, and facilitating communication between factories
• Attend and assist at photoshoots
• Independent self-starter, who is curious, and motivated to learn in a fast paced environment
• Must have an endless positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a can-do attitude
• Minimum availability of 2 days a week
• Must receive school credit
Responsibilities:Intern will be responsible for research, updating sketches, participating in fittings, and facilitating communication between factories. An overall integral part of a very small team!
