Jasmine Chong, a luxury womenswear label based in New York, is looking to hire a part-time paid fashion intern. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Creative Director and team in its Garment District studio to plan and execute projects for the label, assist in fittings and vendor pick-ups/drop-offs, and perform various administrative tasks. The internship is a great opportunity for exposure to the inner workings of a small and intimate emerging designer label. For school credit with daily stipend.
Requirements:Available 1-3 days per week, ability to start as soon as possible. Shows demonstrated interest and passion for the fashion industry. You have top-notch organizational skills and attention to detail. Hands-on self-starter and creative thinker. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Punctual, dependable and a positive attitude. Sharp eye for detail and strong sense of aesthetic. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Docs. Proficient in social media. Hand-sewing, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, interest in production/product development aspect.
Responsibilities:Support in operational tasks within the studio.
Processing and fulfilling orders.
Maintaining and keeping track of inventory.
Assist in fittings, photoshoots, trunk shows and fashion shows.
Pick-ups and drop-offs between vendors and contractors within Garment District/NYC. Steaming and preparing samples/inventory.
Social media tasks.
Create, maintain, and organize mood boards, fabric boards/binders.
Administrative tasks and errands, including e-mail newsletters.
