This internship is unpaid.
The Independent Project is a multi-brand design studio based in New York City. We partner with brands that need the outside support of a design and technical team to develop and grow their collections. Our work spans the men’s and women’s markets, with projects ranging from concept to finished product.
Requirements:Strong interest in fashion design and production
Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/Creative Cloud is a plus
Fashion school or recent graduates preferred
Computer Knowledge in Creative Suite and Office
Responsibilities:Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn

Responsibilities could include:
Assist with sketching, CADs, and presentation boards
Support fabric, trim, and material sourcing
Help organize fittings, samples, and production details
Participate in day-to-day studio and project needs
