This internship is paid.
The Independent Project is a multi-brand design studio based in New York City. We work with brands that need the outside support of a design and technical staff to develop their brand. The internship will include experiencing all phases of design, development, through the manufacturing process.
Meals and Transportation are provided as compensation. Once the 3 month internship period is complete full-time employment will be considered.

Fashion school or recent graduates only.
Computer Knowledge in Creative Suite and Office
Strong interests in all garment development processes

Responsibilities will depend on background, but could include:
Sketching, design, spec-ing, sourcing materials, visiting fabric showrooms, meeting with vendors, attending fittings, preparing sample and production packages, meeting with local factories.
