Description:
During the internship you are working in a small team and are involved in all operations of the company.
You will be responsible for the prototype development and patternmaking alongside the Chief designer.
Furthermore you will be doing trend research, prepare presentations to our clients using Photoshop tools, taking part in fittings and generate tech packs and technical drawings in Illustrator and participate in the several consulting projects the Chief Designer is involved in.
This internship is unpaid.
Heike-NY offers a credit internship in design and patternmaking over a period of 3 or 6 months located in New York City. The label was established in 2015 and is sold in exclusive stores in the USA and Japan.
Requirements:Qualifications
• Candidate has to be highly self-motivated
• Currently enrolled in Fashion Design’s bachelor’s or other programs
• For COLLEGE CREDIT ONLY!
• Has to be organized, resourceful, hardworking and act responsible
• Has to have a high quality awareness and an innovative creative design mindset
• Able to do creative draping and pattern cutting and participate in the sample development with our factories
• Excellent Illustrator/Photoshop skills required
• Advanced English desired
