Gauge By Design LTD is looking for Fashion Assistant Intern
We design, sell, and manufacture private label sweaters and knits to U.S., Canadian, and European retailers, women's, men's and kids. Interns help maintain samples in the showroom, prep and pack for meetings, assist with trend shopping, delivering packages to customers and maintain the sample library. For interns who have the capability we also have spec'ing and sketching opportunities.
Prefer students who have a fashion major in school.
Would like candidates who are able to sketch and spec a garment but this is not required.
Familiar with the Adobe and Microsoft software.
Excellent organization, communication and follow up skills.
Available a minimum of 2 days per week 9 AM-5 PM Monday-Friday.
Able to navigate the city on foot and via subway
Logging samples in/out
Prep for meetings, steaming, packing, folding, hanging samples
Deliveries and pick ups around NYC
Retail shopping
