Gabriela Hearst is looking for Design/Production Intern
Gabriela Hearst is a Uruguayan born, New York based, women's luxury Ready-to-wear and accessories designer.
Students currently enrolled in a full-time university fashion design program or related discipline and are able to work at least 3 days a week for school credit will be eligible for this internship.
Qualified candidates will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and a positive attitude
- Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with garment construction and basic hand sewing skills
- Assisting in the product design and development process
- Preparing mood/fabric/design boards to be used for presentations
- Assisting with CAD using Photoshop and/or Illustrator
- Organizing and preparing fabric swatches, fabric cuttings, and trims.
- Material sourcing, garment district errands, and preparing packages
- Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, runway show preparation, hand sewing, garment steaming.
This internship is unpaid.
