Flagpole Swim is looking for Fashion Production Intern
Flagpole is a luxury swim and ready-to-wear company in its 21st season of production. Based in Brooklyn, Flagpole started from an idea of two high school friends from Florida with a passion for dance and the ocean. They took this love and began building Flagpole. It has turned into a highly successful womens brand and is soon adding mens to its portfolio. Flagpole sells to retailers such as Revolve, Anthropologie and Everything but Water. This internship will be a fantastic opportunity for someone who aspires to run his or her own fashion line in the future, or who has a desire to work in the fashion industry. Flagpole is a small team and therefore interns gain access to every angle of how a fashion company is run from the ground up. You will have the chance to learn from designers, merchandisers, and factories. You will gain knowledge of both the creative and business aspects.
Fun and positive attitude is a must!
Must be well organized and task oriented
Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
Experience or Interest in fashion
Graduate or currently in college preferred but not mandatory
Work closely with our production team at factories to ensure quality control and continuity between all levels of production.
Document fittings to ensure consistency and quality.
Assist Production Manager with factories, cutter, graders and patterns to ensure quality of all styles.
Bring fabrics, notions, materials etc. to and from factories, cutters, pattern makers etc.
Assist in daily tasks to support production and design team
Research new factories to work with in NYC
Following up with factories on the production process
Fabric and trim sourcing with production assistant
This internship is unpaid.
