Description:Hello,
I am presently searching for a part-time design intern to assist with preparations for NY Design Week Presentation and to also assist with general business operations. The internship will be extremely hands on, and allow you opportunities to gain greater understanding of the following:
-Collection Research and Development
-Sustainable Fashion Design
-Managing a Small Business
-Draping and Pattern Making
-Knitwear Development
-Costing
-Launching a Product
-Growing a Fashion a Label
-Tech Packs
-Branding
-Fashion Shoot Planning and Implementation
-Fashion Marketing and PR
-Fashion Sales
You will primarily be working with me out of my Brooklyn studio, in addition to running some errands around the garment district.
Requirements:-Fashion Background
-Machine and Hand Sewing
-Comfortable with Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
-Consistent Availability (8-16 hrs per week, consistent days)
-Knitting experience a plus, but not mandatory
Responsibilities:-Machine and Hand-Stitching
-Research
-Linesheets
-Running Errands in Garment District
-Assisting w/ prep for upcoming events
