This internship is unpaid.
We have produced shows for over 20 years and work with retailers, malls, department and specialty stores. We provide fashion styling and merchandising service for various clients. This internship would from Nov 4 to Dec 3 for 3 fashion events during that time and would be at various locations. This is a voluntary freelance, non-paid internship. Candidate must live in Southern California only.
Requirements:We need someone with strong fashion skills in merchandising and organization. Fashion skills in styling, backstage set up, dressing models, and retail experience. Person must be a self-starter, responsible, reliable and punctual with own transportation. We prefer someone with fashion show experience and/or 1 or more years in fashion retail. We need assistance on 3 fashion shows usually Fri, and Sat although this type of work is not every week. There are possibly occasional weekday shows. The hours are daytime hours, not evening hours. • Merchandising and coordination of fashions.
• Work with fashion staff in organizing show.
• Fashion Styling of models on show day.
• Organize backstage for pre-show set-up and after-show breakdown.
• Prep fashion prior to show with tagging and steaming.
• Must be willing to travel to area for events.
• Must be able to lift 10 lbs.
• Must be punctual for events and follow thru in commitment to shows dates.
• Need to follow directions and be flexible on the job.
• Need to have reliable transportation.
