Description:The Store Development team is responsible for the management of store planning projects for freestanding retail stores and shop-in-shops. The Intern will support the team on the retail roll out program of our stores and gain a broad understanding of the process for a typical project from feasibility study, to design development and construction.
Requirements:• Major in Architecture or Interior Design preferred
• Analytical and detail oriented
• Strong computer skills: Excel, Power Point, Outlook, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), working knowledge of Sketchup a plus
• Ability to read and interpret 2D architectural drawings –floor plans and elevations
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Driven to learn and grow, ability to adapt and learn quickly, understanding how to prioritize
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:• Assist and participate in store design review process for new stores and renovations to existing boutiques – this provides an opportunity to understand all physical elements and functional requirements for our stores, from displays, to finishes, lighting, and props
• Gain overview of store design process – from feasibility study to construction and handover at boutique opening
• Visit boutiques to gain exposure to brand standards and boutique layouts
• Visit millwork shops to assist in review of display and furniture fabrication for local projects
• Support the team with daily tasks in ongoing projects
• Administrative duties: assist with updating the Global Architecture database, manage and update materials library, maintain project records and archives, project coordination, confirming orders and follow up with various global vendors
