Box of Intimates is looking for E-commerce Buyer Intern
We have a fantastic opportunity for a resourceful and fashion loving individual to join our team as a multi-brand lingerie, accessory, beauty buyer to take care of sourcing products in our subscription box.
This is a new role where you will have the freedom to bring your own ideas with you and any experience and knowledge you have, in order to create an interesting product offering for our subscribers. You will be sourcing a range of products, negotiating and buying external branded products and delivering a quality product offering. If you are looking for a growing start-up and rewarding environment working with a small team, this will be an internship like no other!
This is a 3-month unpaid internship starting immediately. We offer a cash bonus of $500 for outstanding interns with a potential for P/T job thereafter.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Good computer skills in word and excel
• Great communication and organizational skills
• Be able to work with minimal supervision, prioritizing and taking ownership of your work
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
• Be able to commit to 3 days a week (9 am - 6 pm)
• Previous experience in fashion buying/purchasing/personal shopping environment is a big plus!
• Responsible for identifying external brands and products, negotiating and agreeing on terms while securing the best possible price, quality, quantities, time and allocation.
• Researching, finding, and reaching out to new brands according to BOI’s aesthetic.
• Ensuring the safe purchase and delivery of products.
• Monitor the market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers while identifying the types of products the customer will want in the next box.
• Building an understanding customer profile
• Monitor customer’s reaction and utilize commercial awareness to ensure the correct product mix.
• Spotting emerging brands to include in our portfolio, and for selecting ranges for your customers.
• Carries out purchase analysis and profitability follow-ups as necessary.
• Working as a team player and providing effective day to day communication with local, remote teams and 3rd parties.
