Our company is looking for part time or full time interns for Fall 2019.
Requirements:• Must be pursuing a degree in production / technical design; this internship is for CREDIT only.
• Prior experience with garment construction is a plus
• Strong work ethic and ability to keep up with a fast- paced environment
• Organizational skills to be able to keep track of samples, fit comments, and inventory for shipments.
• Ability to remain flexible and dependable through various tasks
• Background knowledge in patternmaking, measuring, and sewing preferred
Responsibilities:• Prior experience with garment construction is a plus
• Strong work ethic and ability to keep up with a fast- paced environment
• Organizational skills to be able to keep track of samples, fit comments, and inventory for shipments.
• Ability to remain flexible and dependable through various tasks
• Background knowledge in patternmaking, measuring, and sewing preferred
• Sit in on weekly fitting for couture and collection styles with the production team, helping prep and execute these fittings as needed.
• Assist the Couture team with sourcing trims, dyes, and embellishments for the couture collection
• Create spec sheets and tech packs for current collections, helping measure and quality control the samples when necessary.
• Log and keep track of samples for shipments; communicate as necessary with the shipping manager about incoming and outgoing packages before/ after fittings.
• Help with packing and inventory control to meet shipment deadlines.
• Assist the Couture team with sourcing trims, dyes, and embellishments for the couture collection
• Create spec sheets and tech packs for current collections, helping measure and quality control the samples when necessary.
