Ideal candidates should have:
-a background in design, production
-an interest in textile development
-strong technical drawing skills
-construction, pattern making, sewing skills
-adeptness with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
-strong work ethic and attention to detail
-a positive attitude and dedication
-commitment to at least 2-4 days a week
Requirements:Named after one of New York’s most popular ’80s nightclubs, Area was launched by Beckett Fogg and Piotrek Panszczyk in 2013. Graduates of Parsons School of Design, the duo has a dynamic partnership founded on a mutual love for lamé and sensual designs. The brand’s fluid satin dresses and fit-and-flare silhouettes showcase ultra-feminine glamour, making them a favorite of Hollywood celebrities.
We’re seeking an extremely organized, self-motivated individual to assist our design team with Pre-Fall 2018 and Fall 2018. We offer a fun, dynamic and hands-on work environment with lots of room to grow.
Internship is unpaid, and eligible for school credit.
