Amsale is looking for Design Intern
Amsale Aberra is widely credited as the inventor of the modern wedding dress, each design is delicately handcrafted with couture dressmaking techniques in Amsale’s New York City Atelier. The Design internship provides an intimate opportunity to participate in all facets of the luxury design process; from draping, to sourcing and assisting on photoshoots, this internship will run the gamut of Design responsibilities. Intern will assist in the preparation for the April bridal presentation
- Proficient in Photoshop/Illustrator
- Strong visual research skills
- Strong illustration skills
- Must be organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills
- interest in 3D rendering & pattern-making
- Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop work
- 3D rendering work
- Technical flat sketching
- Illustration of sketches
- Assisting with tech packs
- Assist during fittings
- Assist during model casting & preparations for upcoming presentation
- Assist at April Bridal market presentation & market
- Assist in creating and maintaining mood and style development boards
- Research trends and colors
- Photograph new development samples or mock-ups
- Assist in beading, hand sewing, fabric manipulation samples
- Help team to prepare for meetings with vendors and buyers
- Sourcing fabrics, trims, and notions in the local market
