Alexa Chapman is looking for Product Development and Production Intern
Alexa Chapman is a ready-to-wear brand offering edgy modern classics. Fine fabrics, innovative patterning, creative detailing and uniquely juxtaposed lengths and textures are hallmarks of our brand. Inspired by the geometric lines of a woman’s body and its natural movement, our pieces flatter and support the wearer while allowing her to move freely throughout her busy life.
This is a great opportunity to assist with all duties related to the development and production of an emerging women's wear brand with a small, but growing, team.
Must have experience in a fashion related field - preferably with a degree in fashion design.
Must be EXTREMELY DETAIL ORIENTED, enthusiastic and a passionate learner.
Must be proficient in MS Office.
Proficiency in Adobe is a plus, but not required.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Attend fittings to record pictures and notes
- Assist in coordination and delivery of all development and production raw materials (fabrics, trims, collateral) to sample rooms and factories
- Assist with sourcing and purchasing local raw materials, collateral and department supply requirements
- Maintain Dev and Prod lead-time/delivery boards with updated information as available, swatches and notes
- Maintain Dev and Prod RM binders with a copy of all reference swatches
- Assist with BOM update and yield retrieval while developing the collection
- Help organize and maintain the studio space for efficient working environment
- Assist in reconciling fabric inventory to identify articles that can be used in future seasons
