Description:Adam Lippes is looking for talented, motivated students to assist the Design team in our Nomad studio in NYC. Our interns gain hands on experience by providing support to the team through fabric and trim sourcing, buying, creating cut tickets, visiting factories, and assisting in fittings, photo shoots, and presentations. Interns benefit from a small, close-knit working environment by viewing all aspects of the brand, as both development and production are done in NYC's garment district, a 10 minute subway ride from the studio. A daily stipend is included or school credit is offered upon request.
Requirements:A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm are key. Both full-time and part-time internships offered. Must currently live in the NYC area and major in fashion design.
Responsibilities:-Maintaining fabric boards
-Sourcing and distributing development trims and fabrics
-Updating RLM Cost Sheets and BOM
-Researching embroidery and dying techniques
-Editing hand flat sketches
-Communicating with local vendors and factories for proto and sample development
-Assisting designers in fittings
-Organizing style changes
-Maintaining an organized design and production office
