You’ve GOT to be Trippin!!!

It takes forever to figure out “your” denim brand. That brand that makes the most amazing pair of jeans, as if they were made just for you. I’m a lucky girl, because I have 2. One brand costs me about $150 a pair, which I willing shell over as they fit like a glove. Unfortunately, this brand doesn’t have a very wide range of washes. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to stumble into Hot Topic.

Yes. Hot Topic.

I was at a mall, which is pretty rare seeing that I live in New York City, and passed by Hot Topic. I hadn’t been in one forever, so I decided to see what manufactured punk looked like nowadays. I came across a rack of pants, and was shocked at how cute and inexpensive they were. I ended up leaving, but the brand stayed on my mind.

A few weeks later, I logged onto Karmaloop.com, and was shocked to find that they carried Tripp NYC, my Hot Topic find. I ended up ordering a pair of ripped knee black twill jeans that were $55. I was more than thrilled when they arrived and fit like a glove, but we all know that’s not the true test. How awful is it when you leave the house with a great fitting pair of jeans, and by the end of the day, you’ve got a serious case of what I call “baggy jeans butt.” Not flattering AT ALL. Tripp NYC impressed me not only by holding their shape through the day, but for multiple wears! No joke, I probably wore them 3-4 times before I washed them, and it wasn’t because they lost shape.

Since then, I’ve bought a pair of black twill jeans ($55) and the vinyl pleather pants ($58 and AMAZING!). I’m most likely going to get another pair of the pleather pants, because I wore them to death last year, and the overdye twill pants in grey, as they would be great on one of those day’s that I really just don’t feel like having to put effort into my outfit.

One thing I will say is that Tripp NYC does put out some really random stuff…

Any other Tripp NYC fans?
