TEEN VOGUE Fashion U- Are You In?

I am so excited to announce that I will be attending TEEN VOGUE Fashion University as a guest this year — and you better believe I’ll be tweeting and blogging my heart out for you guys!
For those of you who don’t know, TEEN VOGUE Fashion U is a weekend-long event put on by who else? TEEN VOGUE! If you are accepted, you are given the opportunity to come to New York and have the experience of a lifetime.
TEEN VOGUE gathers the who’s who of the fashion industry, and invites them to host seminars for Fashion U attendees. Want to know how to turn $200 into a multi-billion dollar business? Frances Pennington, VP of Global Marketing of Juicy Couture will be there to spill. Want to know how to stay inspired every season? Erin Caruth Mugavero, Director of PR of LaROK is ready to help you “LaROK it.” Want to know how to make it as a young designer? Derek Lam will share his secrets to becoming a household name. Diane VonFurstenberg, Cynthia Rowley, Thakoon and more will be there ready to inspire future fashionistas.
Fashion U participants will also get to hear from TEEN VOGUE editors on how they made it, as well as get a behind-the-scenes look at the TEEN VOGUE offices. And don’t worry- to even out all of the learning, there will be multiple parties and events for Fashion U students to get to know eachother and have some fun.

I am going! It’s my first year and I am so excited! I really wanted to go to the Juicy Couture seminar and the Teen Vogue tour but they filled up really fast. I still can’t get over the fact that I will actually be face to face with Diane Von Furstenberg. That’s crazy!
Applications for 2008 were due a month or two ago. Check the Teen Vogue Fashion U website in a few months to see when next year’s application is released.

I’m confused?? How do you join teen vogue fashion university and go to the event?? HOW do you find out the date is it taking place in and everything?? Is it an actual university?? and what classes do they have and what or why do you choose the classes for?? I’m interested in going into the fashion industry and so far from what I’ve seen about the event It would be really helpful to me and my career.
